Make a new friend and make your day.

Hello buddy! Are you missing something in your life? Maybe a little friend waiting for you to play with it after school? Who drags you outside every Sunday morning and runs like flash on the lawn?

Hmm, but mom said, “No, we can’t have a(another) pet in our house. Because there’s no one taking care of it at home in the day. Because your sister already spent a lot on her last birthday party. Because we don’t have space for another golden retriever.”

What you and your mom didn’t realize was, you could spend very little money, very little effort, and only a tiny little room in your home, to help make these cute animals much happier and to enjoy their company, too.

A small gesture means the world to them, because most of them don’t get the comfort of sleeping under a roof by the fireplace, or the joy of having someone hugging them every day, or even just a full belly by the end of the day. Some of them have even had their lives threatened because they didn’t have someone to stand up for them, someone as brave and caring as you are.

NKLA, No-Kill Los Angeles, is grateful and excited when compassionate people share the warmth of their home with the most innocent but helpless animals in the city. Volunteer with us and you will bond with not only the experienced heroes who are saving cats and dogs’ lives, but also young soldiers like you who are making a change and protecting human beings’ best friends.

Seeing your smiles and tears might convince your mom of your commitment to the next family member, too! In fact, adopting or fostering one helps at least two here, because moving one animal from here to your backyard, means another will be able to live in a NKLA center. Many more homeless little puppies and kittens are in danger at city shelters and they need spaces from NKLA – or your home!

There’s always more you can contribute and enjoy in life than you have imagined. And through one good deed, you are making a difference – even a life change – for yourself, your new pet and our organization.

We are waiting for you!

More puppies want to run with so much joy and freedom! Come and make it happen with @NKLA!

Puppies hurt, too, when they get stung. But it’s much less painful if they have a family.

They may see the world differently than you do. But you can make their life as wonderful as yours.
